Irene Grace Grooms, 77, of Hershey, Pa., died Monday, Oct. 11, 2004, at her home. Born Oct. 19, 1926, in Uniontown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Daisy and Louis P. Henshaw.

She is survived by her husband, William N. Grooms; a sister, Henrietta Eicher of Uniontown; a son, William N. Grooms II of Hummelstown, Pa.; a daughter, Janet R. Zipse of New York City; and four grandchildren.

Irene was a member of Donegal Presbyterian Church, Mt. Joy, Pa., a former member of the Donegal Presbyterian Women’s Club, Eastern Star and the Birthday Girls Club. She volunteered at the Penn State M. S. Hershey Medical Center for several years.

Memorial services will be held at DONEGAL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 1891 Donegal Springs Rd., Mt. Joy, Pa., on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004 at 11 a.m. The family will start greeting at 10 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
