Mary Ruby (Tiberi) Scarton, 82, of Masontown, Pa., died on Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at the Laurel Ridge Care Center, Uniontown, Pa. She was born on June 17, 1922, in Masontown, P a., a daughter of Alexander “Alex” and Regina Tiberi.

Her parents and a brother, John Vincent “J.V.” Tiberi preceded her in death.

Ruby was a member of All Saints Roman Catholic Church, All Saints Church Choir, the Masontown Garden Club, and a former member of the Mount Vernon Bowling League. She was also a graduate of Masontown High School, Class of 1940.

A loving and devoted wife and mother, Ruby was well known for her delicious pies, Ravioli, and Spaghetti sauce. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, attending to her flowers, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, (Mayor) Walter A. Scarton; children, Teri Fogt and husband, Steve of Bethlehem, Pa., Regina Sloan and husband, Al of Uniontown, and Toni Petrus and husband, Ron of Masontown; grandchildren, Susan Fogt and Julie Fogt, Craig Schuessler and Kim Schuessler, Leslie McLaughlin and husband, Frank and Rebecca Petrus; step-grandchildren, Jeremy Sloan and wife, Paula, Matt Sloan and Mary Sloan; great-grandchildren, Gianna Schuessler and Carissa Fogt; step-great-grandchildren, Alicia Sloan, Emma Sloan and Jacob Sloan; sister, Pearl Baran; sisters-in-law, Edith Geriak, Dolores Iachini and husband, Joe, Dorothy Scarton and Jean Scarton; and many nieces and nephews..
