CONNELLSVILLE – Police are investigating an early Friday hold-up at the Memorial Boulevard Sunoco Station. According to investigating officers, a white male entered the building at about 12:40 a.m. and brandished a knife at the attendant telling her to turn over the cash contained within the register.

After she complied, said police, the male fled on foot.

He is described as being approximately 5 foot 10 inches in height and was wearing a hooded shirt and a covering over his face at the time of the robbery.

No one was injured, said police.

This is the third robbery at a Sunoco service station since Oct. 3.

On Oct. 3 an armed male entered the Sunoco station located at 816 McCormick Ave. and threatened the attendant.

After an undisclosed amount of cash was taken, the assailant fled south on Decatur Avenue.

State police are investigating an Oct. 4 robbery of a Bullskin Township Sunoco station when an armed white male in his 20s, with a thin build and dirty blonde hair entered the business and demanded money from the attendant.

The man, said police, also fled on foot.

Connellsville police Chief Stephen Cooper said anyone with information about the city robberies is asked to contact police at 724-628-2501, ext. 114.

State police can be reached at 724-439-7111.
