Lonal Bowers Hogan
Lonal M. Bowers Hogan, age 89, of Waynesburg, Pa., died Friday, October 22, 2004, at 3:15 p.m. in Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg, following a lengthy illness.
She was born June 12, 1915, in Monongalia County, West Virginia, the daughter of Enid (McElroy) Bowers and George Bowers.
Mrs. Hogan was a homemaker and had worked at The Old Mill Club as a cook in Bobtown, Pa., and Saberton, West Virginia.
She was a member of Asbury Methodist Church where she was a former member of the Ladies Aid Society.
She attended Buckeye School, was a member of the A.A.R.P., and enjoyed quilting while her health permitted it.
On June 12, 1933, she married Theodore R. “Ted” Hogan. He died December 3, 1971. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Morgan Bowers.
Surviving are three daughters: Viola H. Blaker of Carmichaels, Pa., Anna L. and John Kennedy of Bronx, New York, and Lottie B. and John Henderson of Waynesburg, Pa.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; one sister, Violet Bowers Sullivan of Waynesburg, Ohio; and one brother, Blaine Bowers of Newport, Ohio
Friends will be received in the MILLIKEN AND THROCKMORTON FUNERAL HOME INC., 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, Pa., today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. where Services will be held Monday, October 25, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Fred Tomlinson officiating.
Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mount Morris, Pa.
