Rev. Earl Lewis Christopher Jr.
The Rev. Earl Lewis Christopher Jr., age 50, of Uniontown, Pa., died Wednesday, September 1, 2004, in the Uniontown Hospital after a lengthy illness with his loving wife and family at his side. He was born February 10, 1954, in Uniontown, Pa., the son of Blanche E. (Krepps) Christopher and Earl L. Christopher Sr.
Earl was a member of the McClellandtown Free Methodist Church and had been an ordained Minister with the All Faith Church of God since 1975.
He graduated from Uniontown Area High School, Class of 1972.
Earl was employed with Stahl’s Hotronix in Paisley Park, Carmichaels, Pa., as a Shipping Clerk. He loved his job and everyone with whom he worked.
He had also been previously employed by Reese Wholesale in Rubles Mill, J. K. Packing and the Paul Sprowls Agency both in Uniontown.
He was employed by United States Steel’s Mount Braddock Mine for 10 years.
Earl will always be remembered as a great man of God who had a strong faith in the Lord he served. He never complained or asked why when trials came his way-only that the Lord would help him through those trials.
Anyone who ever knew or met Earl was forever touched by his compassionate and loving heart! He was an inspiration to all those who knew and loved him, a gentle giant.
He enjoyed worshipping with his family at his side, farming, fishing with his children, and going on special outings with his wife and children, whom he loved with a passion.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to the stockyard with his brothers and nephews.
“If love could have kept him here, he never would have gone.”
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Keith Gerald, and his parents.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Judy Lynn (Reese) Christopher, whom he married on June 13, 1992, and his three children, Sara Elisabeth, Earl “E. J.” III and Anna Grace, whom he loved more than life itself and was so very proud of!
Also surviving are his loving brothers and sister: Charles W. Christopher Sr. and his wife, Barbara, of McClellandtown, Pa., Lori L. Figler of McClellandtown, and Kevin A. Christopher and his fianc?e, Janeen Krepps, of Brier Hill, Pa.; his special niece, Rachel Sharp and her husband, Douglas, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and his nephew, Charles W. Christopher Jr. of Uniontown whom he loved dearly as a son; and many other special nieces, nephews, and family members.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., A Dignity Memorial Provider, 515 North Main Street, Masontown, Pa., today from 1 to 9 p.m.
Visitation continues Saturday, September 4, in the McCLELLANDTOWN FREE METHODIST CHURCH from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Services will begin at 1 p.m. with the Rev. George Eberhart officiating.
Interment will follow in The Garden of Matthew, LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
