Rose M. Grubish
Rose M. Grubish, 89, of Fairbank, Pa., passed away Friday, Sept. 3, 2004, at Mount Macrina Manor, Uniontown, with her niece, Carol, at her bedside. She was born Dec. 18, 1914, in Whitney, Westmoreland County, Pa., daughter of the late Anton and Mary Valentich Grubish.
Rose was a member of St. Procopius Roman Catholic Church of New Salem, and a retired seamstress.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Margaret Grubish, Ann Bahr and Josephine Duysen; a brother, Joseph Grubish; and a nephew, Tony Grubish.
She is survived by her nephew, Joseph Grubish; two nieces, Carol Croftcheck and Margot McCullers; great-nephews, Joe Grubish and Tony Grubish; a great-niece, Mary Fotner; and two special great-nephews, Joey and Barry Croftcheck.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004, from 2 to 9 p.m., and Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, until 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m., in the St. Procopius R.C. Church, with the Rev. Fr. James L. Popochock as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cardale, Pa. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m., on Sunday.
