Clifford F. Bailey
Clifford F. Bailey, age 89, of 401 Boyce Road, Dothan, Alabama, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2004, in Southeast Alabama Medical Center, Dothan.
Mr. Bailey was born March 25, 1915, in Vestaburg, Pennsylvania.
He was the son of Curtis Bailey and Edith Moffitt Bailey.
He served in the 302nd CC Camp and was a Veteran of World War II who received the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with nine Bronze Clusters. He served with the 557 Bomb Squadron, Marauder B-26.
He was also retired from GMAC.
Mr. Bailey was of Methodist faith.
Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Althea Bailey, and a son, Charles Tackaberry.
Survivors include two daughters: Maureen Carter and her husband, Jim, of Dothan, Alabama, and Pamela Gray and her husband, Robert, of Alexandria, Virginia; two granddaughters: Christina Bevill and her husband, Chad, of Macon, Georgia, and Madison Carter of Dothan, Alabama; four grandsons: Brandon McMahan of Dothan, Alabama, Matt Carter and his wife, Nicole, of Auburn, Alabama, Jason Carter of North Carolina and Meredith Carter of Alexandria, Virginia.
A private memorial service will be held for the family at a later date.
