Ronald L. Grabosky
Ronald L. Grabosky, age 59, of Connellsville Township, Fayette County, Pa., died peacefully at home on Thursday, September 2, 2004, after a long, courageous bout with cancer.
He was born March 30, 1945, in Connellsville, Pa., the son of Walter L. and Alberta E. (Kessler) Grabosky.
“Ron” was Protestant by faith and a member of Central Fellowship Church in Connellsville.
He graduated from Connellsville High School and immediately became employed at Spotto’s Hardware Store as a clerk.
“Ron” then worked at Modulus Screw and Bolt Corporation in Mount Pleasant, Pa., where he was a bolt maker for 20 years and then worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) for two years.
“Ron” was also associated with the Martucci Funeral Home as a part-time assistant for 20 years where he became one of the family.
He was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Pennsylvania National Guard for six years.
He was a member of the South Connellsville Rod and Gun Club.
“Ron” was an avid NASCAR race fan.
Throughout Ron’s two years of illness his family was always at his side physically caring and spiritually supporting him.
“Ron” is survived by his loving wife, Linda M. Schrock Grabosky, to whom he was married 38 years; two daughters: Ronda Grabosky at home and Carrie Ann Grabosky and her fianc?, Christopher D. Opaska, both of Carnegie, Pa.; a brother, Walter Vincent Grabosky and his wife, Deborah, of Ruffsdale, Pa.; a niece, Heidi Pritchard and her husband, Ben, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a nephew, Michael Grabosky of Ruffsdale, Pa.; and two great nephews: Riley Pritchard and Ashton Pritchard both of Pittsburgh, Pa.
Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 South First Street, West Side, Connellsville, Pa., today (Sunday, September 5) until 2 p.m., the hour of the Funeral Service with Pastor Ray Keefer officiating.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation was also held Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
