Josephine (Snyder) Omiros Caromano
Josephine (Snyder) Omiros Caromano, age 87, of Uniontown, Pa., died Friday, September 10, 2004, in Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown.
She was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., on October 30, 1916, daughter of Stanley and Elizabeth (Markovich) Snyder.
Josephine was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church.
She had a love for children and pets and enjoyed gardening and flowers.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Omiros, her second husband, Veto Caromano, three brothers, Stanley Snyder, Edward Snyder and Chester Snyder, a sister, Wanda Snyder Franks, and her parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Omiros of Harrisburg, Pa.; a sister, Irene Karlowicz and her husband, Frank, of Adah, Pa., with whom she made her home for two years after selling her house in Uniontown; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Snyder of Uniontown; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews including Chucky and Colleen Bauer and their children, Jaclyn and Charles.
Friends will be received in the THOMAS M. DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 136 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, September 13, until 1 p.m. at which time a Blessing Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 1:30 p.m. in Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Jefferson Street, with the Rev. Father William J. Kiel as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
