United in marriage were Laura K. Brock of Morgantown, W.Va., and James T. Rhoades Jr., also of Morgantown. The Rev. David Goodin officiated the nuptial ceremony on July 10 at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Morgantown.

The bride is the daughter of Allen and Sharon Brock of Ringer Road, Smithfield. The bridegroom is the son of James and Barbara Rhoades of West Church Avenue, Masontown.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white, strapless satin A-line gown with asymmetrical waistline, corset back and sweep train, all adorned with bugle beads. Her two-tier veil was lined on both edges with bugle and seed beads.

Maid of honor was Priscilla Brock, sister of the bride from Smithfield. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Brubaker, sister of the bridegroom from Raleigh, N.C.; Julianne Frith, Smithfield; and Lea Marsh, Buckhannon, W.Va. Hannah and Rebekah Aello, cousins of the bridegroom from Masontown, were flower girls.

Best man was Patrick Pishko from Fairchance. Groomsmen were Charles Brock from Elizabeth and Clark Brock II, Poolesville, Md., and Kevin Brock, Morgantown, all brothers of the bride; and Rick Brubaker, brother-in-law of the bridegroom from Raleigh, N.C. Tristan Brock, nephew of the bride from Elizabeth; Cole Michael, cousin of the bridegroom from Masontown, were junior groomsmen. Ring bearer was Preston Brock, nephew of the bride from Morgantown.

A reception was held at Lakeview Resort in Morgantown.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School and is currently in the doctor of pharmacy program at West Virginia University. He is a pharmacy intern at Fairchance Pharmacy.

The bridegroom is also a 2000 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School and will graduate in May with a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from West Virginia University. He is a research assistant for the Carbon Products Group of the Department of Chemical engineering at WVU.

The couple honeymooned at Sandal’s Resort in Antigua, West Indies. They are residing at Copperfield Court, Morgantown.
