Samuel M. Colatch
Samuel M. Colatch, age 73, of Connellsville, Pa., passed away Saturday, September 11, 2004, at Highlands Hospital, Connellsville.
He was born June 27, 1931, in Dunbar, Pa., the son of Samuel and Jane (Conko) Colatch.
He graduated from Connellsville High School in 1948 and was a Veteran of the United States Army who served during the Korean War.
He was a self-employed owner of The Colatch Wholesale Inc. spanning 55 years.
He was a member of Saint Rita Roman Catholic Church in Connellsville and also Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown, Pa.
He is survived by his wife, Angeline Augustine Colatch; the following children: Joseph Augustine and wife Darla of Connellsville, Robin Colatch of Connellsville, Michaelene Shreck and husband Robert of White, Pa., and the Rev. Dr. John Colatch and wife Connie of Meadville, Pa.; a brother, Lou Colatch of Connellsville; sisters: Dolores Carlin of South Yarmouth, Massachusetts, and Ena Colatch of Connellsville; a nephew, Gary Colatch and wife Michelle and their sons Nathan and Nicholas; grandchildren: DeAnne King, Benjamin Shreck, Carly Colatch, Zachary Colatch and Alyssa Augustine; great grandchildren: Madison Shreck and Seth Kessler; brothers-in-law: Danny Augustine in Ohio and Dominic Augustine in California state; sister-in-law, Betty Hannan in New Jersey; and an Uncle, Anthony Colatch Sr. of Connellsville.
Friends will be received at the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 EAST GREEN STREET, CONNELLSVILLE, Pa., on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. where a Prayer Service will be held Tuesday, September 14, at 12:30 p.m.
A Funeral Mass follows at 1 p.m. in Saint Rita Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville.
Entombment will follow in Chapel of Memories Mausoleum, Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
Military Rites will be conducted at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions to The Fayette County Association for the Blind or The American Cancer Society.
A Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
