Verbus-Barber
Nicole Marie Barber and Scott Edward Verbus of Columbus, Ohio, were united in marriage on June 5. The Rev. Vincent J. Gigliotti officiated the nuptial Mass at the Historic Church of St. Peter in Brownsville.
The bride is the daughter of Anthony and Debra Barber of Matteo Street, Brownsville. She is the granddaughter of Vincenzio Libertini and the late Lucy Libertini and Mary Barber and the late Francis Barber.
The bridegroom is the son of Edward and Kathy Verbus of Ferry Road, Masontown. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Garred and Dora Verbus and the late Clarence Verbus.
Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore an ivory satin gown with a beaded bodice and chapel-length train adorned with bugle beads and silver-seed pearls. A tiara of crystals and pearls held a double-tier finger-tip veil of illusion accented with pearls.
Andrea Barber sister of the bride from Pittsburgh, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christa Libertini, aunt of the bride, Clayton, Ohio; Jenny Ostien, Westover, W.Va.; Nicole Urban, Columbus, Ohio; and Jennifer Tomecsko, Houston, Pa.
Mark Snyder, Uniontown, and Bob Verbus, brother of the bridegroom, Masontown, were best men. Groomsmen were Matt Hough of Grindstone; Luke Cromwell, Kareem Wynn and Bill McGregor, all of Uniontown.
A reception was held at the Lakeside Party Center.
The bride graduated in 1997 from Brownsville Area High School and in 2001 from Gannon University with a bachelor of art degree in psychology. She earned a master of physical therapy degree in 2003 from Gannon University. She is employed with NovaCare Rehabilitation in Hilliard, Ohio.
The bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of Albert Gallatin Area High School and is employed with Call Tech in Columbus, Ohio.
The couple honeymooned on a western Caribbean cruise. They reside on West Lane Avenue, Columbus, Ohio.
