Emerson E. “Pete” Frazee
Emerson E. “Pete” Frazee, age 79, of Friendsville, Maryland, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2004, in Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. He was born December 26, 1924, in Leisenring, Pa., son of the now late Clark and Daisy (VanSickle) Frazee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant brothers, Harry and Grover Frazee.
“Pete” was a United States Marine Corps Veteran who was wounded while serving in World War II and received the Purple Heart.
He was a lifetime member of V. F. W. Post 10077 in Deer Park, Maryland, a member of American Legion Post 0071 in Oakland, Maryland, and Charter Member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 2481 in Oakland, Maryland.
He graduated from Friendsville High School and was co-owner of D & B Mine Materials.
He was a Timberman all his life!
Surviving are his loving wife, Shirley (Ryzok) Frazee; these Children: Bradley Frazee of Uniontown, Pa., Lisa Westhafer of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Dana Frazee of Friendsville, Maryland; these Step-Children: Janet Jefferys of Valley Point, West Virginia, Bill Glisan of Uniontown, Pa., Michael Glisan of Clearwater, Florida, Tammy Brugger of Richmond, Virginia, and Brian Glisan of LaVale, Maryland; one Grandson, Michael Westhafer; nine Step-Grandchildren; one Brother, Charles J. Frazee of Friendsville, Maryland; four Sisters: Mabel Griffith, Bernice Rodeheaver and Ruby Ryan all of Friendsville, Maryland, and Delores Miller of Austintown, Ohio; numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME OF FARMINGTON, Pa., today (Tuesday) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Additional visitation will be held in BLOOMING ROSE CHURCH, Friendsville, Md., on Wednesday, September 29, from Noon until 1 p.m. Services will begin at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Phil Dukes officiating.
Interment will follow in Asher Glade Cemetery where Military Rites will be accorded at graveside.
