Douglas G. Sutton
Douglas Grant Sutton, 59, of Smithfield, Pa., died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2004, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. He was born Dec. 21, 1944, in Smithfield, Pa., son of the late Ruben A. Sutton and Goldie I. Swaney Sutton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Thelma Elizabeth Suba.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Ramona Suba Sutton. He was the loving father of Douglas Grant Sutton II, and his wife, Cindy of Carlisle, Pa., Terri Sutton and her fianc?, James Dice of Smithfield, Pa.; and Keith (Adam) Sutton and his wife, Ruby of Ft. Hood, Texas; a loving grandfather of six grandchildren, Jonathan, Jeff (J.W.), Jessica, Mitchell, Layton and Collin; three sisters, Elizabeth Lowe and her husband, Herbert Sr., of Dupont Village, Pa., Betty Kelley and her husband, Franklin of Clinton Township, Mich., and Barbara Roberts and her husband, Walter of Morgantown, W.Va.; two brothers, Richard Sutton and his wife, Brenda and Glenn Sutton and his wife, Gloria, both of Smithfield, Pa.; his father-in-law, Theodore Suba of Fairchance, Pa.; two brothers-in-law, Ted Suba of Long Beach, N.Y., and Rick Suba of Griffith, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Doug was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and walking in the woods. He was a member of the Mountain Lodge in Whitehouse, Pa., a member of the N.R.A., and was employed with Fike’s Dairy Company, for 37 years, and a member of Teamsters Local No. 491.
The family will receive friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church St., Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday, Oct. 1, 2004, until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. John A. Kelley officiating. Interment will be private.
