James L. English, 90, of Pittsburgh, Pa., died Monday, April 4, 2005, at Kane Regional Center, Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born March 4, 1915, in Oliver, Pa., son of the late Michael and Margaret Joyce English.

James was a veteran of World War II where he merited two (2) Bronze Battle Stars.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Eva Skudar English; and three brothers, Gerald, Edward and Daniel.

He is survived by his son, James L. English and wife, Geila of Florida; a granddaughter, Jamie English of Washington, D.C.; and four sisters, Bridget of Mather, Pa., Elma Jean and Margaret, both of Michigan, and Geraldine of Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNREAL HOME, 135 Park St., Brownsville, Pa., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m., where a Blessing Service will be held on Thursday at noon, with the Rev. Fr. Vincent Gigliotti officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery. Full military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 295, 275, 940 and 838.
