Christine P. “Gram” (Rathbone) Livingstone
Christine P. “Gram” (Rathbone) Livingstone, age 91, of New Stanton, Pa., and formerly of Brownsville, Pa., died Wednesday, April 20, 2005, in Excela Health Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg, Pa. She was born March 14, 1914, in Washington, Pa., daughter of Waldo Gay Rathbone and Pearl Ellen (Dunn) Rathbone.
Christine was a member of Taylor United Methodist Church in Brownsville, Pa. and attended New Stanton United Methodist Church.
She founded the National Pike Steam Gas & Horse Association in Brownsville, Pa.
She also was a volunteer at both the Senior Center (now named Center in the Woods) in California, Pa., and the McKenna Senior Center in Greensburg, Pa.
Her sweet soul and fun-loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Livingstone, a son, Edward Theodore Wainwright, three sisters, Ruth Bredemeir, Geraldine Williams and Mary Placchi, a brother, Bud Rathbone, and her parents.
She is survived by a sister, Shirley Ann Rathbone Winter of Kansas; and four Grandchildren: Christine Grant, Chuck Kennedy, David Inman and Toni Usiak.
The family will receive friends in the C. RICHARD McCAULEY FUNERAL HOME INC., 101 South 4th Street, Youngwood, PA 15697 (724-925-7233) today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, April 22, until 10 a.m. Funeral Services will begin at 10 a.m. with Minister Bonnie King officiating.
Interment will follow in Maple Creek Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
