Jennie Salvato Adam
Jennie M. Salvato Adam, age 82, of California, Pa., and formerly of Daisytown, Pa., passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2005, in South Hills Health System’s Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
She was born on May 27, 1922, in Uniontown, Pa., Daughter of Michael Salvato and Ida Citro Salvato.
Jennie was a member of Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Daisytown, Pa., The Ladies Guild and The Rosary Society.
She was also a member of Rosa Garabaldi Lodge No. 1818 in Brownsville, Pa., Secular Franciscan Order (Third Order) of Saint Anthony Fraternity in Belle Vernon, Pa., West Pike Run Ladies Club The Hungarian Club and the A-C Club both in Daisytown.
Jennie was predeceased by her husband, Alexander J. Adam, her parents, sister, Mary Salvato Rosa, brother, Lawrence Salvato, and niece, Ida Lou Rosa.
She is survived by four Children: Michael S. Adam and wife, Ginny, Connellsville, Pa., Richard F. Adam and wife Gail, Roscoe, Pa., Mary Ann Molish and husband, Steve J., Daisytown, Pa., and Gina M. Martin and husband Paul, Roscoe, Pa.; 11 Grandchildren: Annette Adam, Michael Adam, Christopher Adam, Tricia Jobes, Ryan Adam, Brian Molish, Craig Molish, Adam Martin, Benjamin Martin, Michael Turek and Bethany Leichliter; four Great Grandchildren: Jessica Adam, Adam Gadd, Gracie Jobes and Alexis Adam; one Brother, Michael Salvato, Niece, Diane Gallant, and Nephew, Michael Salvato, all of Maine.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., today and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. where a Prayer Service will be held Thursday, April 28, at 9:15 a.m.
A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in Saint Agnes Parish at Saint Mary’s Worship Site, Daisytown, with the Rev. Father John Forbidussi as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint Peter’s Cemetery, Brownsville, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mrs. Adam’s name to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, The Susan B. Koman Breast Cancer Research or Three Rivers Hospice.
Secular Franciscan Order (Third Order) of Saint Anthony Fraternity will have a Prayer Service in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 27, at 6:30 p.m.
Rosa Garabaldi Lodge No. 1818 and The Frank Ricco Lodge will hold services in the funeral home today at 7 p.m.
