Eugene A. Boltze
Eugene A. Boltze, age 78, of Perryopolis, Pa., passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2005, in Westmoreland County Regional Hospital, Greensburg, Pa. He was born April 30, 1927, in Charleroi, Pa., son of Katherine C. Konecheck Boltze and the now late George A. Boltze.
He was a member of the following: Fairview Methodist Church in Grindstone, Pa., The Pricedale Hunting Club, and Tri-County Lodge No. 643 in Donora, Pa., where he was a 32nd Degree Mason and Past Master.
Eugene served with the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Hilda K. (Kidder) Boltze on May 1, 2001, a daughter, Mary Lou B. (Boltze) Adams on March 24, 2001, and a brother, Robert G. Boltze.
He is survived by three daughters: Gene M. Boltze of Grindstone, Pa., Lu Ann “Cookie” Boltze of Dawson, Pa., and Mrs. Ronald (Katherine) Petrosky of Perryopolis, Pa.; and five grandchildren: Melany Petrosky, Larry Martin, Craig Martin, Jeffery Adams and Matthew Adams.
Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME INC., 106 East Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., on Tuesday, August 2, from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, August 4, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. James Pond officiating.
Interment will follow in Bowman-Flatwoods Cemetery, Flatwoods, Pa., where Graveside Military Rites will be accorded by V.F.W. Gold Star Post No. 7023 and the American Legion Post No. 752 of Perryopolis.
A Masonic Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.
