Man jailed Brian Paul Rush, 34, of Waynesburg was charged with simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment after he allegedly drove his car into the back of a car owned by Kathleen Williams, 37, of Waynesburg on Route 21 at Bill George Drive July 27 at 1:15 a.m., state police at Waynesburg said.

Rush was arraigned and placed in the county prison in lieu of $25,000 straight cash bond.

North Union Twp.

Man arrested

Tremayne Jerel Spillman Jr. of Pittsburgh was charged with receiving stolen property and driving under the influence after he was pulled over while driving a stolen mini-van Sunday at 8 p.m. on Pittsburgh Street at Route 119, state police said.

He was arraigned and placed in the county prison in lieu of $50,000 straight cash bond. During the same incident, Matthew David Spiker of Fairchance was cited with underage drinking, police said.

Threats are made

George Vanverth, 30, of Martin was charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment following a domestic dispute with Rhonda Vankirk, 27, of Martin at 119 Uniontown St. in Martin, Saturday at 11:44 p.m., state police said. Vanverth was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Herbert Mitchell Jr. and placed in the county prison in lieu of $25,000 percentage bond.

Women charged

Charges were filed against Mildred Denise Johnston, 44, of Mather, Jessica Dawn Lingenfield, 23, of Mather and Stephanie L. Johnston, 25, of Bentleyville for allegedly attacking Ladonna Collins, 19, of Carmichaels on July 21 when she entered a residence at 142 First St. in Mather, state police said.

Burglary arrests

Phillip Ryan Riggi, 20, of Crucible and a 17-year-old male from Carmichaels were charged on July 25 with burglary for allegedly stealing property from George and Mary Anne Lutz’s Rices Landing home between June 4 and 13, state police at Waynesburg said.

Franklin Twp.

Burglary investigated

State police at Waynesburg said rocks were thrown through windows at All Wireless, state Rep. H. William DeWeese’s office and the Regional Eye Associates office in Elm Plaza on July 24 or 25. About $160 was stolen from All Wireless and a 42-inch television was stolen from DeWeese’s office.

The incident is under investigation.

Smithfield

Hit-and-run reported

State police said the unknown driver of a 1995 Dodge van hit a car parked along the street at 20 Washington Way, pushing it into another parked vehicle and fled to Weaver Mill Road where the driver abandoned it and it caught fire Friday at 2:25 a.m.

The Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department extinguished the fire.

Police are asking that anybody with information about the incident to please call the station at 724-439-7111.

Drugs found

State police said seven stamp bags of heroin along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia were seized from a home on Beallsville Road Friday at 7 p.m. Charges against two people are pending the results of crime lab tests on the drugs.

Dunkard Twp.

Block thrown

State police said a cement block was thrown through a window on Edward Lewis Cooper’s home at 380 Moffit Road in Dilliner Wednesday at 12:30 a.m.

Franklin Twp.

DUI arrest made

Mathew Thomas Harris, 22, of Washington was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 21 at the Interstate 79 onramp Saturday at 2:52 a.m., state police at Waynesburg said.

South Union Twp.

Theft arrest

Jerry S. Gibson, 25, of 201 View Crest Village, Morgantown, W.Va., was charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing two X-Box games from Super Kmart Sunday at 8 p.m., state police said. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Herbert Mitchell Jr. and placed in the county prison in lieu of $2,500 straight bond.

Home burglary

State police said a guitar, amplifier and a stereo were stolen from Eileen and Robert Jones’ home on Route 18 in Holbrook Thursday or Friday.

Morgan Twp.

Pump stolen

State police said an eight- horsepower Walker water pump owned by Mark Powell Construction of Mather was stolen from a construction site at 115 First St. in Mather between 5 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. Friday.

Franklin Twp.

Car damaged

State police at Uniontown said fireworks were thrown at a car owned by Todd Torrey of Brownsville and damaged the windshield and hood Saturday at 11:25 p.m. at TNT Shooting Grounds.
