Evelyn J. Keefer
Evelyn J. Keefer, age 82, of Brownsville, Pa., went home to be with her Lord & Savior on Monday, August 1, 2005. She was born May 19, 1923 in Illinois, the daughter of the late Pastor Seth and Gladys Fulton Cobb.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harold Leroy Keefer, a brother Harold Cobb, a sister Vera Michalek and great grandson Christopher Keefer.
Evelyn was a charter member of the Bible Baptist Church of Brownsville, and a member of the Ladies Missionary Fellowship. She was the organist for many years at the Bible Baptist Church and for the former Kisinger Funeral Home, Both in Brownsville.
She will be sadly missed by her three sons: Bob Keefer and wife Cheryl, Brownsville, Pa., George Keefer and wife, Anne of Brownsville and James Keefer and wife Cindy, of Brownsville; three sisters: Helen Nagy, of Florida, Wilma Hallman, of California, Pa., and Joanna Gillow, Prompton, Pa; seven grandchildren: Bruce and wife Jamie, Brian, Melissa, Heidi, Travis, Dakota Keefer and Joshua Hale; and great grandson Tyler Keefer.
Family will receive friends at the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville, Pa., today from 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the Bible Baptist Church, 729 Lewis Street, Brownsville, on Thursday, August 4, 2005, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Barry Stewart officiating.
Interment will follow at Redstone Cemetery, Brownsville, Pa.
