Church to celebrate Harvest Fellowship
The congregation and the Rev. Acquanetta Osborne of Payne African Methodist Episcopal Church in Connellsville will celebrate their Harvest Fellowship Aug. 13-14. Gary Walker will be in concert on Saturday, Aug. 13, at 6 p.m. Walker, who was born and raised in Connellsville, is the son of Kathleen Walker and the late John Walker. He is a recording artist whose latest work, entitled “Storybook,’ was released in Southeast Asia. He has performed in a variety of music genre and has sung with Ray Charles, Ringo Starr and Christina Aguilera. The United Baptist Choir will accompany Walker. A love offering is requested at the door. Refreshments and the artist will be available after the concert.
On Sunday, Aug. 14, St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church of Erie, and its choir, will be on hand. The Rev. Dr. Eugene Schoolfield II will present the afternoon message at 4 p.m., and his wife, the Rev. Annissa Schoolfield, will present God’s word at the 11 a.m. service. Their choir will perform.
