Darrell Dewey Durst, age 85, of Hopwood, Pa., passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2005, in his home. He was born February 14, 1920, in Elk Lick, Pa., and was the son of the late Dewey and Anna (nee Chaney) Durst.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary A. Durst (nee Meosky), and a brother James (Jimmy) Durst.

Mr. Durst was a graduate of Georges High School class of 1939. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Operating Engineers Local 66.

He also worked for Marsolino Construction Company.

Surviving are these children: Darrell Dewey Durst, Jr., and wife, Janie of Footedale, Pa., Dolores (Jean) Conklin and husband,Walter of Jersey City, N.J., Marilyn A. Williams and husband, Dale of Hopwood, Pa., Rita K. Denny and husband, Robert of Naples, Fla., Douglas J. Durst and fianc?, Monica Nelbone of Uniontown, Pa., Mary Ann Richezza and husband, Richard of Hopwood, Pa., Renae E. Banko and husband, Edward of Masontown, Pa., and Lonnie I. Durst of Hopwood, and his fianc?, Kim Trump of Connellsville, Pa.; 17 Grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters: Vida Edwards of Nottingham, Pa., June Ann Kraynak of Uniontown, Pa., and Norma Jean Balas and husband, Robert of Burton, Ohio, one brother, Roy Durst and wife, Bertha of Uniontown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday until 10 a.m. the hour of service with pastor Dale Sickles.

Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.

AMVETS Post 103 will accord Military rites at Graveside.
