Cecil H. Skidmore, age 77, a lifelong resident of Lake Lynn, Pa., who had been a fireman with the United States Navy during World War II and graduated from Allegheny Trade School, died Sunday, August 7, 2005, in his home. He is survived by three children: Mark Skidmore of Morgantown, West Virginia, Mrs. William (Debbie) Houck of Chillicothe, Ohio, and Mrs. Dave (Tammy) Shipley of Masontown, Pa.; grandchildren: Tara Houck, Pam Houck, Billy Houck and Daniel Shipley; several great grandchildren; nieces and nephews including Tom Skidmore and his wife, Shelly, of Lake Lynn who looked after and cared for Cecil for the past several years.

Friends will be received in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, 501 Morgantown Street, Point Marion, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, August 10, until 1 p.m.
