Ruth Edna Watson
Ruth Edna Watson, age 86, of Point Marion Road, formerly of Canyon, Morgantown, W Va., passed away Sunday, August 7, at her residence. She was born January 11, 1919, in Bobtown, Pa., the daughter of the late George and Mabel Simpkins Newman.
She retired after 30 years of service with the Sterling Faucet Company.
She is survived by three daughters and spouses: Barbara and Ralph Pugh of Morgantown, W Va., Louise and Ron Krokonko of San Diego, Calif. And Jo Ann Watson of Arthurdale, W.Va.; ten grandchildren twenty-three great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the Tender Loving Care Hospice for all their help, and a special thanks to granddaughter, Lisa Pugh.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin “Runt” Watson, an infant daughter, Sara; two sisters, Lillian Gould and Ida McCrobie; two brothers, George Newman, Jr. and Ralph Newman.
Cremation services provided by HASTINGS FUNERAL HOME, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, W Va.
A graveside service will be held Friday, August 12 at 1 p.m. at Eden Cemetery and the Rev. James Mohrman officiating.
