Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Haun
Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Haun, age 87, of Connellsville, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday August 11, 2005, at her home. She was born March 23, 1918 in Juniata, Dunbar Township a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Smith.
Betty was a life long resident of Dunbar Township. She was a former Waitress having worked for the former Wonder Bar Restaurant in Connellsville.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Connellsville.
Betty was a loving homemaker and her main joy in life was being with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her loving sons: Ronald Haun and his wife, Patricia and James Haun and his wife Cheryl all of Connellsville, her wonderful grandchildren Eric Haun and his wife Jennifer of Star Junction, Gina Donnelly and her husband, Eric of Washington, Pa., Jason Haun of Brooklyn N.Y. and Jennifer Haun of Connellsville, her step grandson Steve Davis of Connellsville, her great grandchildren Brandon and Sara Haun and Abby and Eric Donnelly Jr., and her step great grandchildren Melissa and Colby Davis, and her brother John J. Smith of Connellsville.
In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband, Harland E. “Jim” Haun in 2001 and a brother George Smith.
Family and friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green Street, Connellsville on Saturday and Sunday form 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing Service will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville, with the Rev. Terry Hercik as Celebrant.
A committal service and interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
A Parish Wake Service will be held on Sunday at 8:45 p.m. in the funeral home.
