State police said Glenn R. Armel reported that his silver 2004 Kia Optima, bearing Pennsylvania registration DZJ-5554, was stolen from his Flat Rock Road residence in Markleysburg between 6 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Break-in reported

City police said someone entered Robert Means’ 41 W. Coffee St. home and went through bedroom closets and dresser drawers Sunday. Nothing was reported stolen. The incident was reported at 10:49 p.m.

Charges filed

Miles Antonio Mack, 44, of 226 E. Fayette St. was cited with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after he allegedly was found intoxicated on a bench in Marshall Park Sunday at 6:44 p.m., city police said.

Joseph Cole Jr., 38, of Scottdale was cited with harassment for allegedly repeatedly punching Kenneth Miller, 23, of Scottdale in the head Friday at 10 p.m. outside a Gregg Street residence in the Terrace Acres Trailer Park, state police said.

Two charged

Edward A. Burgess and Danette M. Darnell, both of Uniontown, were cited with harassment for allegedly fighting at the Fayette County Fairgrounds Sunday at 1 p.m., state police said.

Woman cited

Clara Martin, 42, of McClellandtown was cited with criminal mischief for allegedly striking and damaging the front end of a truck owned by William Smith, 36, of McClellandtown at the intersection of Puritan Road and Route 21 at 10 a.m. Sunday, state police said.

Mailboxes stolen

State police said mailboxes owned by Kathleen Babyak, 63, Russell Peters, 72, and Regis Murphy, 60, all of Acme, were stolen and mailboxes owned by Diana Scherer, 20, and Donald Ukasik, 37, both of Mount Pleasant, were damaged Sunday between 2 and 4 a.m.

Juveniles cited

Criminal mischief and criminal trespass citations were filed against two juveniles, a 15-year-old white male and a 16-year-old white female, for allegedly throwing rocks and a brick into a swimming pool owned by James Agostini, 35, at 381 Lowhill Road at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, state police said. The charges were filed at Magisterial District Judge William Pelkey’s office.

Charges pending

Charges are pending against a known 18-year-old girl from Brownsville for assaulting Paul Orris of Pearl Street, Brownsville, in a field off Hopewell Road on Sunday, state police said. Orris suffered a broken nose and a swollen eye, police said.

Fight investigated

State police said Mark Cavanaugh, 41, of Connellsville suffered minor facial injuries in a fight with a known male Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at 11 Middle St., Dickerson Run.

Hit-and-run probed

State police said an unknown driver hit a vehicle owned by David Stull of Masontown at noon Sunday at Brodak’s Shop N Save in Masontown and then fled. Police ask anybody with information about the incident to call the station at 724-439-7111.

Vehicles collide

State police said Theodore W. Dicker, 79, of Luthersville, Md., and Bryan J. Jacobs, 26, of Pittsburgh were involved in an accident on Chalk Hill-Ohiopyle Road at 10 a.m. Saturday. Both had a passenger. No injuries were reported.

Man cited

City police said James Smallwood of 191 N. Gallatin Ave. was cited with public drunkenness after police were dispatched to the intersection of Gallatin Avenue and Kerr Street, where Smallwood and Amos Lewis of 1 Vance St. were involved in an altercation Saturday at 1:11 p.m.

Man injured

City police said John Jay Miller of Lemont Furnace was taken by Uniontown Firemen’s Ambulance to Uniontown Hospital with moderate injuries after the motorcycle he was riding and a vehicle driven by Doris Perno of Uniontown collided at the intersection of Main and Kensington streets at 10:16 a.m. Saturday.

Juveniles robbed

Three Uniontown juveniles told city police they were skateboarding at St. Therese Church on Mill Street when two males robbed them Saturday at 7 p.m. The juveniles told police one of the males was black and was wearing blue shorts and a white T-shirt. The other male was white and had on shorts and a white shirt, police said.

Man arrested

City police said George Mitchell of Uniontown was arrested and charged with simple assault, harassment, criminal mischief and vandalism after an incident at his 37 McCormick Ave. residence Sunday at 12:57 a.m.

Lewis Combs of Uniontown told city police someone stole a 24-inch Huffy bicycle off the back porch of his 4 E. Craig St. residence Saturday night.

Tools stolen

David Lambie of Uniontown told city police Sunday at 9:55 a.m. that someone entered the rear door of his 187 N. Gallatin Ave. rental unit and stole a miter and circular saw, valued at $200. Police said approximately $200 worth of damage was also done to the back door of the rental unit.

Woman cited

City police said Nikia Burncheck of 262 Mount View Road was cited for disorderly conduct and drug paraphernalia after police allegedly found her in possession of a crack pipe and cleaner at Johnny D’s Bar on North Gallatin Avenue at 4:22 p.m. Friday.

Vehicle damaged

Ivy Fitzgerald told city police Friday at 9:33 p.m. that someone damaged her vehicle while it was parked at a tavern on Austin Street. Police said the front of the car suffered minor damage.

Charges filed

Police have filed charges against the following individuals in unrelated incidents:

Three juvenile males, ages 13, 14 and 15, all of Connellsville, with obstructing law enforcement, riot, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in connection with an Aug. 11 alleged disturbance at Highlands Hospital. The 13-year-old was additionally charged with trespassing, added police.

Elbert S. Smith, 32, of Connellsville with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct and Charlie R. Smith, 26, also of Connellsville, with public drunkenness after police allegedly found the two involved in an Aug. 10 disturbance along South Prospect Street.

Elmer D. Stillwagon, 39, of Connellsville with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after police allegedly observed him urinating outside a South Pittsburgh Street business on Aug. 10.

Investigation

Police are conducting an investigation into an Aug. 9 incident when the rear window of vehicle parked in the 200 block of East Fairview Avenue was shattered by a rock.

Obscene calls made

Roni Arnold, 38, of Brownsville told police that she received phone calls July 29-Aug. 3 from an unknown caller shouting obscenities. Police said the number of the caller was obtained via the victim’s caller identification. The investigation continues.

City police said a female juvenile was charged with retail theft after she allegedly stole two lip-glosses from the Sally Beauty Supply store located at 575 Morgantown St. Friday at 12:56 p.m.

Citation to be issued

City police said a citation will be issued against a Uniontown man who allegedly slapped his sister in the face during an incident that occurred on Hickle Street at 11:27 p.m. Friday. Police said the man had left the scene by the time they arrived.

John Grinko of Uniontown told city police Friday at 11:29 p.m. he was traveling east on Fayette Street near City Motors when someone threw a hard object at his vehicle. Police said there were minor scratches on the right rear quarter panel of Grinko’s vehicle.

Car accident

State police said Broc Hough of Star Junction was not injured when he lost control of his vehicle while traveling on Route 51, approximately 1 mile north of Tony Row Road, and stuck a guardrail Saturday at 7:55 p.m.

Purse stolen

Cassie Pretence, 20, of West Brownsville told state police someone stole her purse from her shopping cart while she was in the Grindstone Foodland parking lot Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

Two charged

State police said Tiffany Sauritch, 22, of Charleroi and Tawnya Trainor, 23, of Uniontown were charged after both women were involved in a physical altercation at a Tony Roe Road residence Saturday at 3:15 p.m.

Woman injures

State police said Jackie Meyers of Meyersdale sustained injuries after vehicles driven by Meyers, Ralph Hottle of Somerset and Scotty Meyers of Pittsburgh collided on Route 31 Saturday at 1:05 p.m. Police said the other drivers were not injured.

East Huntingdon Twp.

Safe stolen

Rosemary Overly of Scottdale told state police she returned to her residence at the Sunnydale Mobile Home Park Friday at 7:15 p.m. and realized someone had entered her residence while she was away and stole her safe. Police said Overly went next door to ask her neighbors if they had seen anything and saw her neighbor, Mark Randall Johnston of Scottdale, pounding on her safe with a hammer. Police said Johnston was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Roger Eckels and released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.

Trailer burned

State police said someone entered an empty singlewide trailer belonging to Kenni Nicholson, 40, of Smithfield and burned it July 25 at 10:40 p.m. The trailer was located 1350 Fairchance-Georges Road, next to Bullfeather’s Bar, and sustained $1,000 in damage.

Hit-and-run probed

State police said Michael Orr of Smithfield was cited after he hit a fence with his car at 20 Murphy St. and left the scene Aug. 1 at 8:40 p.m. Police said they apprehended Orr at his residence and said he admitted to fleeing.

State police said Bruce Mitchell, 32, of Uledi was cited after he allegedly followed Angela Roycroft-Shipley, 23, of Dunbar in a vehicle on two separate occasions Friday between 1 and 5:30 p.m.

Woman harassed

Margaret Zentkovich of Shoaf told state police another Shoaf woman used obscene language while speaking to her at a 180 Shoaf Road residence Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Women cited

State police said Kimberly Haines, 39, and Chassidy Prinkey, 24, both of West Leisenring, were cited for harassment after they became involved in a physical altercation Friday at 3:20 p.m. at a Fourth Street residence in the Village of West Leisenring.

East Huntingdon Twp.

Five injured

State police said five people were injured when vehicles driven by Nathan Mains, 20, of Scottdale and Christine Povlik, 50, of Scottdale collided on Route 819 approximately one mile south of Route 119 Aug. 7 at 1:50 p.m. Police said both drivers sustained minor injuries.

Melissa Boshinsky, 19, a passenger in Mains’ vehicle sustained moderate injuries, as did two passengers in Povlik’s vehicle, Sharon Emerick, 24, and Shane Matthew, 10. All of the passengers were from Mount Pleasant.

Motorcycle accident

State police said Dan Shearer, 58, of Morgantown, W.Va., sustained minor injuries after he lost control of his motorcycle while traveling on Gans Road at 4:15 p.m. Friday. Police said Shearer was taken by ambulance to Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Vehicle stolen

State police said someone stole a vehicle from the Marion Motors lot in Connellsville sometime between 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday.

North Union Twp.

Three arrested

State police said Jason Wayne Lowe, Kathy Lynn Bittinger and Toni Lynn Nicklow, all of Uniontown, were taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance Thursday at 9:47 p.m. in the parking lot near the intersection of Cavanaugh Street and Johnston Avenue.

Man cited

State police said Roger Hileman of Uniontown was cited for public drunkenness after police observed him staggering in the roadway outside the Northside Market on the North Gallatin Avenue Extension Sunday at 1:46 a.m.
