Mrs. Kay Lynn Lohr, 49, of Corley Road, Manns Choice, died at 1:25 p.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005, at Johnstown Memorial Medical Center, Cambria County, Pa. Mrs. Lohr was born in Brownsville, Washington County, Pa., on Sept. 17, 1955, the daughter of Thomas and Louise (Hudson) Hartley of California, Pa.

She was a homemaker.

Kay was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church New Baltimore, and had served as a CCD teacher for several years.

She was active with the Chestnut Ridge Girl Scouts as a Troop Leader and Service Unit Manager for many years and was recognized with many awards including the Girl Scout “Thanks Badge”. Her daughter and several local girls received the Girl Scout Gold Award under her instruction.

Kay was the wife of James W. Lohr for 31 years. They were married on Jan. 26, 1974.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her parents; a son, James W. Lohr Jr., of Chicago, Ill.; a daughter, Holly L. and husband, Jeremy Sivits of Hyndman; a brother, Thomas W. Hartley Jr., and wife, Linda of California, Pa.; and many relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Lee Hartley.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at 10 a.m., on Friday, Aug. 19, with Father Allen Zeth as celebrant. Committal Services will be held at Highland Cemetery, California, Washington County, Pa. Friends are invited MICKLE-GEISEL FUNERAL HOME, Schellsburg, where a vigil for the deceased was held on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be held today, Friday, August 19, 2005 from 3 to 5 p.m., at the Highland Cemetery Chapel with a candlelight service to follow at 5 p.m.
