Pete Yerace
Pete Yerace, 68, of Scenery Hill, Pa., died Friday, Aug. 19, 2005, at 3:27 p.m., at his residence following a lengthy illness. Mr. Yerace was a 1955 graduate of Bentleyville High School and had been an independent truck driver for over 40 years. He also owned and operated Yerace Oil & Gas Company, and was co-owner of Nor-Ridge Assisted Living Facility in North Huntingdon.
On Feb. 12, 1971, he married Florence Wesolowski, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, John E. Yerace of Ellsworth, Pa., and Pete J. Yerace of Cincinnati, Ohio; one daughter, Lena Sturgeon of Washington, Pa.; one sister, Cecilia D’Orazio of Bentleyville; two brothers, Dominick Yerace of Wellington, Ohio, and Felix Yerace of Largo, Fla.; one half-brother, Tony Yerace of Erie, Pa.; one half-sister, Mary Yerace of Evans, Ga.; two grandsons, Shawn Pordash and Pete Joseph Yerace III; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m., on Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main St., Bentleyville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Central Blood Bank, 124 West Chestnut St., Washington, PA 15301.
