Thomas E. Gricheck Sr., 77, of Jones Street, Everson, Pa., died peacefully early Saturday morning, Aug. 20, 2005, in his residence with his family by his side. He was a retired serviceman for Allegheny Power and the former West Penn Power Companies, with 43 years of service.

Thomas leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife of 56 years. Eleanor J. Balgosky Gricheck, whom he married on July 2, 1949; his two sons and a daughter, Thomas E. Gricheck Jr., and wife, Cynthia of Norvelt, Susan C. Zieger and her husband, Dennis of Scottdale, and James R. Gricheck and his wife, Marie of Scottdale; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his brother, Claude Gricheck of Scottdale; and his sister, Irene Finnigan of Clairton.

Thomas’ family will greet friends in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home Inc., 417 West Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, today from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where a blessing serviced will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.
