Edith G. (Balash) Kopich
Edith G. (Balash) Kopich, age 80, of 100 North Water Street Rear, Masontown, Pa., died Monday, August 22, 2005 in her home. She was born September 27, 1924, a daughter of the late James and Margaret (Mehok) Balash.
Edith was a homemaker and attended All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Masontown, Pa.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Kopich in 1990, a granddaughter, Ellen (Ellie) Kopich and a sister, Alicia.
Surviving family members are three daughters: Bonita and husband, Michael Ewanick of Pittsburgh, Pa., Joyce Grimm of Masontown, and Cynthia Marnell of Fairchance, Pa.; a son: E. Randall and wife, Elaine Kopich of Uniontown, Pa.; nine grandchildren: Richard Ewanick, David Ewanick, Daniel Grimm, Scott Grimm, Gina Grimm Leadbeater, Justin Marnell, Audrey Kopich, Garrett Kopich, and Brendan Kopich; five great grandchildren: Austin and Brandon Ewanick, Hannah Grimm, Daniel Mark Grimm III and Chloe Leadbeater; a number of great great grandchildren; four sisters: Pearl Yoskovich of Texas, Thelma Conticelli of McClellandtown, Elinore Wokovitz of Carmichaels and Barbara Albani of Michigan; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Prayer Service will be held on Friday at 9:30 am. in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH, JR. FUNERAL HOME, Corner of Church on 7 River Avenue, Masontown, Pa., and a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Masontown, Pa., with the Rev. Father James F. Bump as Celebrate.
