William Dale Cole
William Dale Cole, 70, of South Connellsville, Pa., passed away Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, in his home. He was born July 10, 1935, in Connellsville, a son of the late George Cole and Margaret Martin Cole Giossio.
He was a retired mechanic having been employed at Anchor Hocking Corporation. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a member of Albright United Methodist Church. His memberships included the South Connellsville Firemen’s Club, the South Connellsville Rod and Gun Club and the Somerset Eagles. Dale was a graduate of Connellsville High School Class of 1953, and enjoyed the outdoors.
He is survived by his loving family: his wife, Ethel “Sis” Banks Cole; a son, Ron Cole and his wife, Sharon of Wake Forest, N.C.; two grandchildren, Tyler Scott Cole and Alyssa Marie Cole; two step-granddaughter, Kacy and Elizabeth Coggin; a “special daughter”, Nancy Gore Cole of Wake Forest, N.C.; and a brother, David “Larry” Cole of Haydentown, Pa.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Marian Whipkey Cole; two brothers, Ronald L. Cole and infant brother, Richard M. Cole; and a sister, Barbara Cole..
