James R. Tesauro Jr.

James R. Tesauro Jr., “Mr. T”, 74, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., passed away on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005, at his residence with his family at his side. He was born Sept. 26, 1930, in Phillips, Pa., son of the late James and Pauline Hanna Tesauro.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evelyn R. Herbert Tesauro on May 26, 2003, a brother, Russell M. Tesauro, and a granddaughter, Jennifer Tesauro.

Jim was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church and a graduate of North Union High School. He was also a member of American Legion Post 51 and Catholic War Vets. He was employed as a truck driver for Chemical Leaman Tank Lines for many years.

“Mr. T”, along with his late wife, owned and operated Shady Grove Park for over 25 years. He was the happiest when he was riding his tractor at the pool and enjoyed talking with the patrons.

He is survived by four sons, James R. Tesauro III and wife, Toni of Lemont Furnace, Jeff L. Tesauro and wife, Gina of Uniontown, Jan R. Tesauro and wife, Jeanette of Markleysburg, and Joseph R. Tesauro and wife, Pam of Lemont Furnace; seven grandchildren, James R. IV, Marissa, Brandi, Shannon, Alexandrea, Katlyn and Rusty; a brother, Jan F. Tesauro and wife, Mary Ann of Lemont Furnace; three sisters, Vicki Sova and husband, Ted of Hopwood, Angela Hixenbaugh of Pittsburgh, and Dolly Myers and husband, Curt of Indiana, Pa.; many nieces and nephews; and all of his beloved family and friends.

Friends will be received in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, until 9 a.m., at which time a Blessing Service will be held, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Therese de Lisieux R.C. Church, with the Rev. Fr. Kenneth Zaccagnini V.F., as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, where Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 51 and V.F.W. Post 8543. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made payable to St. Therese Organ Fund, 61 Mill St., Uniontown. Catholic War Vets will hold services today at 7:30 p.m.
