Mildred I. “Mimi” Kendro Roycroft
Mildred I. “Mimi” Roycroft, age 78, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., died on Friday, August 26, 2005, in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa.
She was born on October 17, 1926, in Footedale, Fayette County, Pa., daughter of Joseph Kendro and Matilda Ann (Schussler) Kendro Manor.
Mildred was a member and Elder for many terms of the Tent Presbyterian Church.
She retired from Gee Bee Department Stores where she was a manager.
She was an avid reader and loved to quilt and crochet.
A wonderful and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she took great pride and care in making her home a special place of comfort!
Her parents, a son, Bruce Allen Roycroft, a brother, Joseph Manor, and sisters, Virginia Volpe and Dolores Ventura, preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Alfred Wayne Roycroft Jr. and wife, Lara Lee, of Uniontown, Pa., Lois Ann Tantlinger and husband, David, of Smock, Pa., and Gary Lee Roycroft and wife, Brenda Lee Braddee-Roycroft, of Lemont Furnace, Pa.; 11 grandchildren: Jennifer Casper, Rebecca Detrick, Brandi Roycroft, Wendy Roycroft, Justin Roycroft, Shellie Tantlinger, Jonathan Tantlinger, Erin Tantlinger, Angela Shipley, Haley Roycroft and Matthew Roycroft; seven great-grandchildren; four brothers: William “Bill” Manor and wife, Shirley, of San Jose, California, John “Jack” Manor and wife, June, of Seattle, Washington, Marco Manor and wife, Irma, of Carson City, Nevada, and Donald Manor and wife, Linda, of Escondido, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC. AT SYLVAN HEIGHTS CEMETERY, A Dignity Memorial Provider, 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, August 29, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service in the Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Baker officiating.
Interment will follow in Saint John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Hopwood, Pa.
