Gary W. “Bitsy” Bittinger, age 69, of Rubles Mill, Pa., died Monday, August 29, 2005, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. He was born April 29, 1936, in York Run, Pa., son of the late William Bittinger and Myrtle Bowlen Bittinger.

He was predeceased by an infant son, Brian Keith Bittinger and one brother, Nelson Bittinger.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Sarah Adams Bittinger; ten children: Bill Bittinger and his wife, Sharon of Temple, Texas, Kathy Tringes and her husband, Ronnie of Rubles Mill, Pa., Barbara Addis and William Zack of Uniontown, Pa., Tammy Harden and her fianc?, Barry Augustine of York Run, Pa., Gary Bittinger of Rubles Mill, Pa., Sherri Martin and her husband, Kevin of Revere, Pa., Randy Bittinger and his wife, Connie of York Run, Pa., Lori Hostetler and her husband, George of Rubles Mill, Pa., Kim Fabery of Smithfield, Pa., Jody Bittinger and his wife, Cindy of Rubles Mill, Pa.; 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; four sisters: Jean Dawson and her husband, Ralph, Naomi Anderson and her husband, Bud, Joyce Bircher and her husband, Donald and Linda Kingan and her husband, Gary, all of Fairchance, Pa.; two brothers: Delbert Bittinger and his wife, Debbie of Fairchance, Pa., Robert Bittinger of Rubles Mill, Pa. and several nieces and nephews.

Gary was retired from the Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry.

The family will receive friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A PRIVATE FUNERAL SERVICE will be held in the funeral home with the Rev. James B. Jobes officiating.

Interment will be held at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
