Miriam Broad Schwartz
Miriam Broad Schwartz, 92, of Drexel Hill, Pa., passed away peacefully on December 7, 2005, in Broomall Nursing Center, near Philadelphia, Pa. She was born in Uniontown, Pa., on June 15, 1913, and resided in Uniontown most of her life.
She graduated from Uniontown High School and married Max Schwartz in 1946.
She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and friend and also as an exceptional cook and gracious hostess.
She was employed for many years by her brother-in-law, Sam Koidanov, as a bookkeeper with the Fayette Furnace Company. She also worked, part-time, in retail sales in several Uniontown area stores.
She was raised, after the childhood loss of her parents, by her beloved older sister, Bertha Broad Koidanov.
She is survived by he son, Larry and wife, Joy; three grandchildren: Adam, Bethany and Melody Schwartz of Drexel Hill, Pa., a Philadelphia suburb.
Friends and relatives may attend the graveside service on Monday, December 12, 2005, at 1 p.m. in the HOLY SOCIETY CEMETERY, Hopwood, Pa., with Dr. Perry Haalman, officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
