Beth-Center elects new member to board
During a special meeting Tuesday evening, Beth-Center School Board members elected George Trout to the board for a two-year term. The board also accepted the resignation of Joan Caputo, school board secretary, and accepted Donald Bartolomucci for the position.
The board also named solicitor Keith Bassi as chief negotiator for contract issues. At a previous meeting, the board appointed Sandra Yohe as president, Gary Ewing as vice president and Wade Smith as treasurer.
Smith, Mary Mazeppa, Denise Duvall and re-elected board member Thomas Katruska were sworn in.
The board will meet at 7 p.m. on the fourth Monday of every month, except in November when the board will meet on the third Monday of the month. Board members will hold a planning meeting at 6 p.m. the same day as the regular meeting. A board committee meeting will be held at 6 p.m. the first Monday of the month except in January, July and September when the committee will meet the second Monday of the month. All meetings will be held in the elementary school conference room.
