Althea A. Guseman, 64, of Merrittstown, Pa., died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005. She was the daughter of the late Arthur W. and Lillian Evans Shumar.

Althea was a member of the Solid Rock Apostolic Church of McClellandtown, Pa.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leroy E. Guesman Sr.

Surviving are seven children, Deborah G. Crowe of Brownsville, Pa., Leroy Guesman Jr., and wife, Lisa of Brownsville, Pa., Bobbie Brundige and husband, Sanford of Brownsville, Pa., Tina M. Guesman of Ralph, Pa., Lena A. Browning of Herbert, Pa., Leon Guesman of Ralph, Pa., and Julie A. Davies of Uniontown, Pa.; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and five brothers and sisters, Edith D. Vance, Alice M. Watson, Ellis C. Heiser, Dolores Zupic and Arthur Shumar.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park St., Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday in the Solid Rock Apostolic Church, McClellandtown, Pa., from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the hour of service, with Pastor Leslie Fuller officiating. Interment will be in Acklin Cemetery.
