Frank E. Herrelko Sr. of Bowie, Md., was inducted into the Maryland Senior Olympic Hall of Fame recently. At age 91, the former West Leisenring man was the oldest in the group to celebrate 25 years in the Maryland Senior Olympics. Herrelko has won more than 100 gold, silver and bronze medals in his age group, which is now 90-94, in the Maryland Senior Olympics. He has also won at least 200 medals in the state, region and world level competitions. Herrelko graduated from North Union High School in 1948, 17 years after he should have graduated.
