Michael “Cutty” Bobrosky Sr.
Michael “Cutty” Bobrosky Sr., our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather went home to be with the Lord, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born May 1, 1924, to Harry and Mary Bobrosky of West Brownsville, Pa.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Grace, of 58 years; three children: daughters, Linda Siple and husband, Richard from West Brownsville, and Michele Hunter and husband, Rodney from Newport News, Va., and a son, Michael Bobrosky Jr., and fianc?, Lisa and her son, Eric from West Brownsville; six grandchildren, Michele Brinkley, Daniel Elko, Sheri Costantino, Tami Herre, Shawn Hunter and Michael Bobrosky III; five great-grandchildren, Kyle and Chloe Brinkley, Louis Costantino, and Jared and Aiden Elko; a brother, Nick Bobruska from Silver Spring, Md.; and a sister, Arlene Gilmore and husband, Larry from Whittsett, Pa.
He served his country as a Marine in the Pacific during World War II. He was a lifetime member and last charter member of the American Legion Post 940 of West Brownsville, for 51 years. He held positions as Post Commander, Finance officer, Honor Guard and Firing Squad. He retired with 48 years of service from Conrail.
He will be dearly missed by his dear family and friends.
The family will receive friends in the NOVAK FUNREAL HOME, (formerly Confer Funeral Home), 515 Front St., Brownsville, Pa., on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, from 2 to 9 p.m., and Friday until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Alex Jalso officiating. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m., by the Calvin United Presbyterian Church followed by a service at 7:30 p.m., by the West Brownsville American Legion Post 940. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15205, or Calvin United Presbyterian Church, 307 Spring St., Brownsville, Pa.
