Thomas W. Barber, 77, of Gibsonia, Pa., and formerly of Brownsville, Pa., passed away Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, in Passavent Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born Feb. 24, 1928, in Brownsville, Pa., son of the late Thomas Barber Sr., and Elizabeth Randolph Barber.

He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church of Brownsville, Pa., a World War II Veterans, and a member of the Elks Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, a daughter and a son.

Surviving are three children, Darlene Taylor of Camden, N.Y., Brenda Barber Born and husband, Henry of Uniontown, Pa., and Max Barber and wife, Jeanne of Gibsonia, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Friends will be received in the MURIEL E. LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, 297 East Main St., Uniontown, Pa., on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, from 5 to 9 p.m., where services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Leonard Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Smock, Pa.
