Angeline J. “Ange” Citro Scacchi
Angeline J. “Ange” Citro Scacchi, age 82, of Connellsville, Pa., passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2005, in Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant, Pa. She was born June 15, 1922, in Scottdale, Pa., daughter of Anthony Citro and Louise DeCara Citro.
“Ange” was a member of Saint Rita Roman Catholic Church and Sons of Italy Ladies Lodge 1686 both in Connellsville.
She was a sales clerk for Connellsville Foodland and also the now former Montgomery Wards for several years.
She enjoyed everyone’s company, especially meeting every Friday night with the Ladies Card Club!
“Ange” was preceded in death by her husband, Louis R. Scacchi on February 23, 1994, a brother, Tony Citro, three sisters, Pauline Rogers, Rose Eannareno and Antionette “Toots” Pryor, and her parents.
“Ange” is survived by three daughters: Rose Ann Scacchi Carbonara of Fairfax, Virginia, Linda Czekanski and her husband, Robert “Congo”, of Connellsville, Pa., and Mary Jo Scacchi of Manassas, Virginia; four grandchildren: Melissa Carbonara and Jamie Carbonara both of Fairfax, Virginia, Bobby Walker and his wife, Tracey, of Normalville, Pa., and Matthew Czekanski of Connellsville, Pa.; two great granddaughters: Brittany Walker and Nicole Walker both of Normalville; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 South First Street, West Side, Connellsville, Pa., today from 1 to 9 p.m. where a Blessing Service will be held Friday, February 4, at 8:45 a.m.
A Funeral Mass follows at 9 a.m. in Saint Rita Roman Catholic Church, 116 South Second Street, West Side, Connellsville, with the Rev. Father Frank A. Lesniowski as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint Rita Cemetery,
Sons of Italy Ladies Lodge 1686 will conduct a Ritual in the Funeral Home today at 3 p.m.
