Line repaired Pennsylvania American Water Co. workers were repairing a six-inch water main that broke Wednesday morning on West Main Street near Five Corners West.

PAWC spokesman Philip Cynar said crews responded to the break in the vicinity of 180 W. Main St. at approximately 7:30 a.m. and expected to have the line fixed by mid-afternoon. He said the break did not result in a loss of service, but six to eight customers may experience a temporary loss of water during the repairs

He said some of the leaking water froze on the street in the morning and Department of Transportation workers salted the area.

Temporary traffic restrictions were in place during the repairs.
