LAUREL HIGHLANDS WRESTLING ASSOCIATION will hold a cash bash on feb. 19 at the Amvets Post 103, Hopwood, from 1 to 5 p.m. Tickets are $20 and includes food and drink. For tickets or more information, call 724-437-5701. SAFE FOOD HANDLING CLASS will be held March 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mountain Citizens Action Group, Farmington. The class is free. It is open to non-profit organizations. Preregistration is required by calling 724-329-4260. Coffee will be served.
AMERICAN LEGION POST 51, Uniontown, will meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Dues are now payable. The board meeting will be held at 7 p.m.
NEWELL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH will hold Shrove Tuesday pancake and sausage supper on Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. Meals are $6 for adults; 3 for children, and free for children age 6 and younger.
FAYETTE COUNTY SUNDAY SCHOOL ASSOCIATION executive board will meet at 7 p.m. Saturday at Central fellowship Church in Connellsville. All Sunday School workers are invited to attend.
PENN STATE FAYETTE COUNTY COOPERATIVE EXTENSION and Giant Eagle will present two “Healthy’ Fixins food demonstrations today at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Giant Eagle Store’s produce section. Electric skillet cooking will be demonstrated in the produce section. Door prizes will be awarded.
It is open to the public.
