Gerald A. “Bud” Kirch, age 83, of Murrysville, Pa., World War II United States Marine Corps Veteran who fought at Iwo Jima during the time of the flag raising and retired employee from Peoples Natural Gas Company with 45 years service, died Thursday, February 3, 2005, in Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville, Pa. He is survived by three sons: Terry J. Kirch and his wife, Mary Lee, of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, Gerald J. Kirch and his wife, Deborah, of Uniontown, Pa., and Michael E. Kirch and his wife, Pattie, of Marshall, Virginia; grandchildren: Andrew and Dori; six step-grandchildren; brothers: James Kirch of Kailua, Hawaii, and Wendell Kirch of Bonifay, Florida; and sisters: Dorothy Kirch Huntsman of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Genevieve Kirch Merryman of New Kensington, Pa.

Friends will be received at the John T. Hart Funeral Home Inc., 3103 Lillian Avenue, Murrysville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, February 7, until 9:30 a.m.
