Lucile M. Wensing
Lucile M. (Mongelluzzo) Wensing, 88, a lifetime resident of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, at Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. She was born Jan. 30, 1917, in Mount Pleasant, Pa., a daughter of the now late Joseph and Therea (Santore) Mongelluzzo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry W. Wensing; and siblings, Annette Farrell, Carmen Mongelluzzo and James Mongelluzzo.
Lucile was a seamstress and a beautician.
Lucile was a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown, and while in Kissimmee, she attended the First Christian Church. She was a member and past president of Women’s Aglow, and was also a member of AARP, Beuana Vista Lakes Group in Kissimmee, and a member of Alanon. She was also an avid bowler.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Virginia Nickler and husband, Vaughn of Bobtown, Pa., James Watson and wife, Debbie of Bulger, Pa., Richard A. Watson and wife, Carol of Albuquerque, N.M., Kathleen Salthouse and husband, Doug of Titusville, N.J., and David Watson and companion, Jacquelyn Speelman of Hopwood; ten grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received in THE STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., A Dignity Memorial Provider, 603 North Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, until 9 a.m., when prayers will be said, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m., in St. John R.C. Church, with the Rev. Fr. William J. Kiel as celebrant. Interment will be in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown. A Parish Wake Service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 6 p.m.
