James Pershing Stehle, 86, of Greensburg, Pa., died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg, Pa. He is a 1935 graduate of Connellsville High School. Jim retired from West Penn Power Company after 33 years, starting as a laborer at the Connellsville Power Station in 1948, and progressing to Plant Superintendent at Milesburg, Pa.

He is survived and beloved by three daughters, Judith Ann Corman and her husband Gerald of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Patricia Lynn Hoy and her husband Gary of Mingoville and Mary Jo Spicer-Rossman and her husband Albert of Pennsylvania Furnace; one son, Timothy James Stehle and his wife Jean of Greensburg; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Martha Stehle Bosley Elleard of Chalk Hill; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Sunday Feb. 13, 2005, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wetzler Funeral Home, 206 North Spring Street, Bellefonte, Pa. A funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at 9:30 a.m., at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Bellefonte, Pa., Fr. Neil R. Dadey officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint John the Evangelist Catholic School at 116 East Bishop Street, Bellefonte, Pa., or to Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 134 East Bishop Street, Bellefonte, Pa., 16823.
