Yolanda Kuhns
Yolanda Kuhns, 86, a resident of LaFayette Manor, and formerly of Allison #2, Pa., passed away Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, in LaFayette Manor, Uniontown, Pa. She was born January 11, 1919, in Ligonier, Pa., a daughter of the late Pietro Garella and Caroline Cerutti Garella.
Yolanda was a member of the Allison Christian Church, had worked as a teacher’s aide at Cox Donahey School, and was formerly employed at Authenriths in Brownsville, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, George (Lefty) Mekovich; her second husband, William T. Kuhns; a grandson, John David Mekovich; sister, Mary; and brothers, Mike and John.
Surviving are a son, George Mekovich and wife Stacy of Clinton, Md.; daughters, Caroline Worrell of Frederick, Md., Marie Wright of Grindstone, Pa. and Patty Kuhns of Brownsville, Pa.; grandchildren, George and Stacy Mekovich, William and Anna Mekovich, Wesley and Dawn Worrell, Jobie and Leanna Wright, Kerri Lunne Worrell; great-grandchildren, Theresa, George, Mitchell and Austyn Mekovich, Kayla Worrell, Chloe Wright and Eme Worrell; a sister, Josephine Harrison of Winona, Texas; brothers- and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews from the Garella, Mekovich and Kuhns families; and many neighbors and friends who each held their own special place in her heart.
Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME, INC., Legion Street, Republic, Pa., Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with Pastor Michael Peton officiating. Interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
