Joseph S. Fancella
Joseph S. Fancella, age 64, of Hopwood, Pa., passed away Saturday, January 29, 2005, in UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born August 1, 1940, in Indiana, Pa.
Joseph was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a member of General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 in Hopwood, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7622 in New Florence, Pa., and the American Legion.
He was employed at United Defense in Uniontown, Pa., until the time of his death and was a retired employee with 28 years service from Bethlehem Steel Corporation’s Johnstown (Pa.) Plant.
Joseph was a personal friend of Congressman Jack Murtha.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Fancella Sr., a brother, Robert Fancella, and a sister, Joann Fancella.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Doris Felton, of Hopwood, Pa., and her daughter, Carol Stewart and her husband, Brent Stewart, of Brush Valley, Pa.
Interment was held in Saint Bernard’s Cemetery, Indiana, Pa.
A Memorial Service for friends and family will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2005, at 1 p.m. in the STEPHEN E. KEZMARSKY III FUNERAL HOME AT 71 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, UNIONTOWN, Pa.
