Lucile M. Mongelluzzo Wensing
Lucile M. (Mongelluzzo) Wensing, age 88, a lifetime resident of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2005, in Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.
She was born January 30, 1917, in Mount Pleasant, Pa., a daughter of Joseph and Therea (Santore) Mongelluzzo.
Lucile was a seamstress and a beautician.
Lucile was a member of Saint John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown, and while in Kissimmee, Florida, she attended the First Christian Church.
She was a member and past president of Women’s Aglow, and was also a member of AARP, Beuana Vista Lakes Group in Kissimmee, Florida, and a member of Alanon.
She was also an avid bowler.
Lucile was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry W. Wensing, her parents and siblings, Annette Farrell, Carmen Mongelluzzo and James Mongelluzzo.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Virginia Nickler and her husband, Vaughn, of Bobtown, Pa., James Watson and his wife, Debbie, of Bulger, Pa., Richard A. Watson and his wife, Carol, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kathleen Salthouse and her husband, Doug, of Titusville, New Jersey, and David Watson and his companion, Jacquelyn Speelman, of Hopwood, Pa.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC. AT SYLVAN HEIGHTS CEMETERY, A Dignity Memorial Provider, 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today (Saturday, February 12) until 9 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9:30 a.m. in Saint John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Jefferson Street, Uniontown, with the Rev. Father William J. Kiel as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
Visitation was also held Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Parish Wake Service was held in the Funeral Home on Friday at 6 p.m.
