Modesto Ricciuti
Modesto “Moody” Ricciuti, age 85, of Punta Gorda, Florida, and formerly of Vestaburg, Pa., died at 8:10 p.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2005, in Facett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte, Florida. He was born November 22, 1919, in Ellsworth, Pa., a son of Domenic Ricciuti and Albina Trasette Ricciuti.
Mr. Ricciuti was a member of Saint Oliver Plunkett Parish, Saint Michael Archangel Church, in Fredericktown, Pa., and United Mine Workers of America Local 762 and a social member of Hancock-McCune Horne American Legion Post 705 in Centerville, Pa.
He retired in 1980 from Jones and Laughlin Steel Corporation’s Vesta 5 Mine.
On December 6, 1941, he married Rose M. Noska Ricciuti. She died February 12, 2003.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Robert G. Ricciuti who died in infancy, two brothers, Alfred Ricciuti and Louis Ricciuti, and his parents.
Surviving are three sons: Ronald P. Ricciuti and his wife, Coletta, of Punta Gorda, Florida, Richard R. Ricciuti and his wife, Delores, of Bainbridge, Ohio, and Michael M. Ricciuti and his wife, Connie, of Ravenna, Ohio; one brother, Patsy Ricciuti of Vestaburg, Pa.; two sisters: Lucy Ruday of Arcadia, California, and Matilda Grosso of West Islip, New York; five Grandchildren; four Great Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 42 Bank Street at Crawford Road, Fredericktown, Pa., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Monday, February 14, at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Oliver Plunkett Parish, Saint Michael Archangel Church, Fredericktown, Pa., with the Rev. Father Paul Grunebach as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
